Grilled chicken (Lao style) is a typical food in Laos. You can find it in every corner of the streets in town or during festivals. Here is the classic recipe that you can try at home.
Step 1. Marinate the chicken with finely pounded garlic and lemongrass. Add thin soya sauce, Knorr powder, sugar, and oil. Mix very well and leave for 1 hour before grilling.
Step 2. Grill on low to medium fire, spread the vegetable oil and remaining marinated sauce during grilling. Cook until the chicken turns to brown color, pay attention to the skin to make it crunchy without burning it.
Step 3. Serve with sticky rice and chili sauce or green papaya salad. Zap!
