Xoup Phak is a traditional Lao dish. It is an easy and healthy dish that you can find everywhere in Laos. Mostly, the vegetables are wild or from the forest but any vegetable you like can be used instead. The taste is awesome!
1. Boil water in a pot, add mushrooms and vegetables. Cook for about 5 minutes and remove from the pot.
2. Use a mortar and pestle to finely pound the ginger, salt, MSG (optional), and garlic (optional), then mix with the vegetables, add fish sauce and chili powder. Mix together and add the roasted sesame. Mix gently again and adjust the taste.
3. Sprinkle some roasted sesame again before serving. Enjoy!
